Beaufort 57th Annual Water Festival Almost Here

The South Carolina Lowcountry and Hilton Head Island has something for everyone. This year’s opening ceremony takes place at 7 pm on July 13, with the Marine Corps band and a fireworks display after sundown.  And then the fun begins!  For the next eight days, the Beaufort Water Festival hosts a variety of sporting tournaments including the renowned Bed Race, Children’s Day, and the Kayak Dash for Trash.  Of course, the nights on the water are memorable as well, and this year all the old favorites are back:  the teen dance, the Lowcountry Supper, Concerts in the Park and the River Dance.  A talent show, the Blessing of the Fleet, the Commodore’s Ball and a Parade of Boats are also planned.
