The 2010 Hilton Head International Piano Competition is March 8-15 and features 30 pianists ages 18-30 from around the world. The judges are from six different countries. There are four rounds of competition with the three finalists performing with the full Hilton Head Symphony Orchestra on Monday, March 15, 2010. In addition to the competition, the week will include lectures and recitals on Hilton Head Island and in Savannah, Georgia. The winner of the competition will not only receive cash prizes but also will have a performance in Carnegie Hall in New York City, plus they will perform at a concert on Hilton Head Island with the Hilton Head Symphony Orchestra in the 2010-2011 season.

On Saturday, March 13, 2010, Hilton Head Island will host one of the largest outdoor wine and food festivals on the east coast.
