NOVEMBER 2009 SALES ACTIVITY IN HILTON HEAD PLANTATION

Living on Hilton Head Island we truly have a lot to be thankful for. I would like to thank all who called requesting an explanation of the property tax bills or comps so you could appeal the property value. If you still have any questions please let us know. Any appeals need to be provided to the county within 90 days of the mailing of the reassessment notice. This should be prior to the end of December. If the County made an error (i.e. a 6% ratio as opposed to a 4% ratio), you should bring that to their attention prior to January 15. Any bills not paid by January 15, 2010, even if they are wrong, will be subject to a late fee penalty. November real estate activity in Hilton Head Plantation showed 12 properties (Homes and Villas) were put under contract. This number is down somewhat from the past few months; however, we also had 19 homes that closed. We are all hoping that 2010 is a better year for real estate sales in Hilton Head Plantation.
